WEEE

The European WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) is a regulation that aims to reduce the levels of electrical and electronic household waste. Since 2007, all domestic electrical products that have reached the end of their life have to be collected separately from everyday household waste and recycled in a safe way. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.

All Vax Commercial products comply with the WEEE legislative standards.

RoHS

RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment regulations 2005) has been in force since July 2006 and is applicable in all EU countries.

RoHS aims to reduce the amount of potentially harmful materials that are put into the environment when a product reaches the end of its life. It limits the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium and the flame-retardants PBB (Polybrominated Biphenyl) and PBDE (Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether) in domestic appliances.

Most Vax Commercial products manufactured in 2005 and all products manufactured after 1st July 2005 comply with RoHS regulations.

Sale of Goods Act

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 traders must sell goods that are as described and of satisfactory quality.

If you discover that the product does not meet your requirements you can reject it and ask for your money back providing you do so quickly. The retailer (not the manufacturer) must repair or replace it, or give you a full or partial refund of the purchase price.
